Minutes of GOLA Board Meeting October 20, 2012 | |
GOLA board members meeting held at Mike and Sara Story's home. Mike Rancour, Dwight Seward and Mike Story met at 8:30 am to transfer treasurer duties to Mike Story. Mike Rancour, Mike and Sara Story, George Chuba, Dan Menden, Kathy Royce and Miles Johnson met at 9 am. The minutes from this meeting are below: It was agreed that an addendum with directory updates will be added to the existing lake directory instead of printing an entire new directory. The board will contact Mary Shimp to see if she has a listing of new lake property owners on Goodrich and O'Brien. It was also discussed that it would be nice to reach out to new property owners to both welcome and inform them of the lake association. The bulletin board/sign at the Y is looking old and could be improved. Mike Story will take a look and plan a new bulletin board that will be more weather resistant. It was suggested that this board would be a good spot to post lake maps, property rights, minutes, and other useful information to property owners. George Chuba will contact David Clute with the DNR for status and plans of the new launch. Options for a decontamination station at the site would like to be pursued with DNR to take advantage of existing well and power. All the board members present agreed to have their phone numbers posted on the website. The board will meet again in March 2013 at Dan Menden's house to gather items for spring newsletter and plan spring meeting. In the meantime, the board will review the last newsletter and suggest additional items and content. The board agreed it would be beneficial to document and communicate procedures for board duties and tasks to assist in any future transition to new board members. |
